Frequently Asked Questions
As a Type I Center we are not eligible to accept Child Care Assistance Payments.
If you are interested in enrolling your child we recommend that you come in for a visit between 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. or 3:30 -5:45 p.m. to see our classrooms, playground, and meet our staff. You can fill out a wait list application to let us know that you want to enroll. When there is an opening for your child, we will be in touch with you by phone or by mail.
There are two enrollment periods each year. Once mid-summer for the upcoming school year and again in April for the upcoming summer. You will receive a letter and paperwork from us during each enrollment period to see if you are still interested in a spot. If you are interested and we do have a spot available for your child we will contact you and begin collecting the necessary records and registration fees.
Sometimes there are openings at other times during the year. If your child is of the appropriate age for the group where there is an opening, we will contact you.
Priority for openings are: 1. Our Staff's children, 2. Siblings of currently enrolled children, 3. Alumni families, 4. All others based on the date your child went on the wait list.
We accept children ages 18 months to 5 years in our preschool and children ages K-12 years in our after school program.
The Summer Program at The Big House accepts children six years old through 12 years old.
Our preschool is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Big House is open for After School Care from 3:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
You are responsible for providing diapers, pull-ups, wipes and extra clothes as necessary for your child.
Our preschool classes nap daily, so your child will need a crib sheet and blanket each Monday. We send these items home if soiled and every Friday for washing.
If your child attends The Big House summer program (ages 6-12 years) they will need to pack a lunch daily, and bring any items necessary for field trips (swim clothes, towels, extra clothes, tennis shoes, water bottles, etc.). A list of the necessary daily items will be available on our blog, or by email.
